Clay Aiken Explains Why He Returned To Music With Christmas Album

Marking his first album in over a decade, Aiken opened up about his decision to return with a Christmas album. He told Clarkson, “Mostly because I’m old and cheesy already, but vocally, it’s where I sit best also. I love that vintage, you know, The Carpenters, and Perry Como, and Andy Williams, so that Christmas sound — this whole album is supposed to be that vintage vibe. So Christmas made sense to me.”

Offering her support on Aiken returning to the studio, the Clarkson insisted, “I love how you came back to music and went Christmas.” As for Clarkson, she released her latest album just last year with Chemistry.
