I dressed like Bianca Censori on one of the busiest streets — it made me feel ‘exposed’
Now, in a searing investigation, news.com.au has captured on film what it’s really like to stroll the streets while resembling a sexy mechanoid.
Former beauty queen Maddy May pulled on the stretchy, flesh-colored two-piece and paraded around Sydney’s iconic harbor as unsuspecting punters crowded the city’s bars at happy hour.
“I feel a little bit exposed, but anything good in life is difficult,” she said. “There’s a lot of growth in that. I feel great.”
She said she’d be more uncomfortable if she had to wear an elaborate ball gown because it would attract more attention and feel out of place.
“A gown is a lot worse – you get a lot more stares,” she said.
But that’s not to say the naked outfit didn’t attract second-glances.
“I personally feel slightly uncomfortable with it,” said Richard, a UK tourist visiting for the summer. “And I said to my daughter, who has worn a similar outfit before, ‘Shouldn’t you keep that to the gym?’ But I’m probably showing my age. It’s more my own issue than the girl who wears it.”
